ZAMBO COPS NAB PCG MEMBER, 3 OTHERS FOR POSSESSION OF PROHIBITED DRUGS

ZAMBOANGA CITY – Police have arrested four persons, including a member of the Philippine Coastguard (PCG) for possession of prohibited drugs in this city, a police official disclosed Saturday.

Supt. Ariel Huesca, Zamboanga City Public Safety Company (ZCPSC) chief, said the suspects were arrested Friday night at a KTV bar in Barangay Tetuan, this city.

Huesca identified the arrested suspects as Mohammad Ahmad, 25, a PCG member; Arzel Dahim, 26, a militiaman; Jamalul Samparani, 30; and, Julhashir Kamlon, 22, a driver of a passenger jeep.

Huesca said they confiscated from the suspects’ possessions four big packs containing more than 10 grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as shabu, Php 22,533 cash money; two motorcycles; and, prohibited drug paraphernalia.

He said they were conducting inspection and visitation of amusement centers when they arrested the suspects for possession of prohibited drugs.

He said the suspects were turned over to the Police Station 6 for the filing of appropriate charges. PNA
