LAOAG CITY — A 51-year-old woman died instantly and her husband injured in a loud explosion inside their home in Barangay 22, this city on Thursday morning, authorities said.
Neighbors of the victims said they are preparing breakfast when they heard a loud explosion at the porch of Noemi Fiesta and husband Cresencio.
One of the witnesses said Noemi was holding a box at their porch when it exploded in front of her. Her husband who is a few steps away was also injured in the different parts of his body.
As of this posting, investigators are still processing pieces of evidence to determine what caused the blast. Several fragments of still unidentified explosive device were recovered at the crime scene. PNA-northboundasia.com
