Wanted car thief, 7 others fall in Bulacan dope war

CITY OF SAN JOSE DEL MONTE, Bulacan — A wanted car thief and his cohorts in drug peddling were arrested while another dope dealer was nabbed together with four of his “scorers” during a series of anti-drug operations in Barangay Sapang Palay Proper and Barangay Sto. Cristo in this city Monday night.

In a report to Bulacan acting police director Senior Supt. Romeo Caramat Jr. on Tuesday, Supt. Fitz Macariola, head of the San Jose Del Monte City police station, identified the arrested suspects in Barangay Sapang Palay Proper here as Richie Victorio, 42; Elmer Nolasco, both residents of Barangay Sapang Palay Proper and Jonna Masel, 33, resident of Barangay San Jose Patag, Sta. Maria town.

Macariola said that Victorio and Nolasco were arrested shortly after selling a plastic sachet of “shabu” or methamphetamine hydrochloride to a police undercover agent while Masel was nabbed for possession of a plastic sachet containing shabu.

Police recovered 11 more plastic sachets with shabu from Victorio and Nolasco.

Macariola also said that during investigation, it was learned that Victorio has a pending warrant of arrest issued by Bulacan Regional Trial Court Branch 83 Judge Guillermo Agloro for a case of carnapping.

In Barangay Sto. Cristo, Macariola identified the suspected drug dealer as Jun Magbanta, alias “Jun Pangap”, resident of said barangay.

He was arrested after selling a plastic sachet to a police operative acting as buyer.

Four other suspects who were caught during a pot session were identified as Jhon-Jhon Santiago, Richard Sabalo, Arnold Franscisco and a certain Abuguin, all residents of Barangay Sto. Cristo.
