MANILA — Following the result of the latest Pulse Asia survey, United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) standard bearer Vice President Jejomar Binay on Friday expressed gratitude for the continued support of the Filipino people.
The Vice President made the statement during UNA’s campaign event in the province of Bulacan on Friday.
Binay and other Presidential candidates Senator Grace Poe are statistically tied on top in the latest presidential preference survey conducted by pollster Pulse Asia.
In a media release on Friday, Pulse Asia announced the results of its latest presidential preference survey indicating that Poe (scoring 26 percent) and VP Binay (25 percent) share the lead.
“Patuloy akong nagpapaabot ng pasasalamat sa ating mga kababayan at ito ay hindi na mapipigilan. Tuloy-tuloy na yan. Naniniwala na ho ang ating mga kababayan na ako ang karapat-dapat na maging pangulo ng ating bansa. I think history is going to be repeated,” he said Friday during an event in the town of Meycauayan.
Binay, his runningmate Senator Gregorio Honasan II as well as UNA’s senatorial candidates General Getulio Napeñas, Princess Jacel Kiram and Rey Langit went on a motorcade in Malolos and Meycauayan on the second day of their visit to Bulacan.
Meanwhile, Davao City Mayor Rodrigo R. Duterte and Liberal Party bet Manuel Roxas, got tied with 21 percent while Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago got three percent of the respondents.
The presidential candidates in the January study remain basically unchanged in the survey it conducted from Feb. 15 to 20, the Pulse Asia said. Christopher Lloyd T. Caliwan
