Village councilman in Nueva Ecija nabbed for illegal drugs

TALAVERA, Nueva Ecija, June 1 — A village councilman was arrested by police operatives in Barangay Pinagpanaan here Wednesday night.

Senior Inspector Romeo Yutuc, deputy chief of police, on Thursday identified the suspect as Albert Ramoso, 47, of the said village.

Ramoso was arrested after the police operatives discovered three sachets of suspected “shabu” from his possession during the execution of a search warrant in his residence at around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Yutuc said the suspect was listed as user and pusher on their high value target list.

Ramoso, facing drug charges and detained at the town police station, refused to comment. Marilyn Espiritu-Galang/
