Two drug suspects killed in Isabela

ECHAGUE, Isabela — Two suspected drug personalities were killed by motorcycle-riding gunmen in this town on Wednesday, police said.

Police Supt. Narciso Paragas, Isabela police spokesperson, identified the fatalities as Francisco Nicolas, 66, and Michael Castillo, 45, both traders in Echague town, both under the drug watch list as alleged shabu peddlers.

A gunman shot and killed Nicolas, who was then about to board his Crosswind car, with a Cal. 45 handgun in Ipil village, Echague town at about 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Castillo, who saw Nicolas’s death, tried to flee but he was also repeatedly shot three times, killing him instantly.

Echague police found five empty shells of Cal. 45 handgun.

Police said they have yet to identify Nicolas’ assailants. Villamor Visaya Jr/ PNA/
