CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela — A 27-year-old trader was shot dead by two motorcycle-riding gunmen on Monday at 2 a.m. in Barangay Alibagu here, police said.
Police Supt. Ariel Quilang, Ilagan police chief, identified the fatality as Donald Cabansag, 27, of Barangay Calamagui 1st in this city.
Cabansag was on his way home with a lady backrider when the gunmen shot him, hitting his right ear and head, with a Cal. 45 handgun. The lady was not hurt.
He was brought to the hospital but he was declared dead on arrival.
The gunmen fled to the north direction after the shooting.
An empty shell and a slug of Cal. 45 gun were found at the shooting site.
