ORION, Bataan — Police on Friday near midnight killed a suspected drug supplier from Cavite during a buy-bust operation here.
Police Chief Inspector Eduardo Guevara, Jr., Orion police chief, said killed in the encounter with police operatives was Jojo Gorayeb, 50, a native of Naic, Cavite, a supplier of illegal drugs in this town and surrounding areas.
During the buy-bust operation, Gorayeb noticed that he was dealing with a police officer and pulled his handgun and fired twice but missed, prompting the security back-up to retaliate, the police chief said.
Scene of the Crime Operatives recovered from the waiting shed a caliber .38 revolver with four live ammunitions and two fired cartridges and one medium size sachet of shabu, report showed.
Guevara reported to Police Senior Supt. Benjamin Silo, Jr., Bataan police director, that a drug dependent who surrendered tipped off the police of the activities of the victim.
