Shabu seized in Pangasinan raid

LINGAYEN, Pangasinan — Operatives of the Bayambang Police Station (BPS) seized 10 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected to be methamphetamine hydrochloride commonly known as shabu in an anti-illegal drug operation at a house in Barangay Zone VI in Bayambang, Pangasinan on Tuesday.

During the operation, the police, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), also recovered other drug paraphernalia including two improvised water pipes.

Lawmen served Search Warrant No. 2016-57 dated May 19, 2016 issued by Judge Hermogenes Fernandez of the Regional Trial Court Branch 56, San Carlos City, Pangasinan for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act against the suspsct, a certain Rio Roldan.

Roldan, a tricycle driver and resident of the place, fled to an unknown direction upon sensing the arrival of the operating police officers, the police said.

Confiscated items were brought to police station for proper documentation and disposition prior to their submission to the PNP Crime Laboratory in Lingayen, Pangasinan for examination. JOHANNE MARGARETTE MACOB/PNA/northboundasia.com
