SANTIAGO CITY, Isabela –Persons with disabilities (PWDs) here were tapped to make parols to be used as Christmas decorations in the city hall and around the city’s business district.
The move is in recognition of the great contribution of the PWDs to the city’s developmental efforts.
At least 250 parols were ordered by the city government to the PWDs which are intended to be displayed soon inside and outside the city hall premises and in the city’s poblacion.
It can be recalled that the parols used by the city government last December were also produced by the PWDs which were greatly appreciated by city officials and the people here.
The city government appreciated our parols last year and for this year, we are again being tapped to make the said Christmas decors, Amor Beltran, one of the PWDs who is making parol, said
Beltran said that it is a great honor for him and his fellow PWDs that their craft in making parol is being appreciated by the city officials and residents here.
The parols will be lighted simultaneously on December 1. PNA-northboundasia.com
