Roxas is over-all 2017 Bambanti Festival winner

CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela — The Municipality of Roxas was adjudged as this year’s Bambanti Festival winner after the weeklong celebration last week.

The 2017 Bambanti Festival was celebrated from 23 – 28 January last week, where various activities were conducted showcasing the various products and culture of Isabela.

Roxas was awarded PHP1 million worth of projects from the provincial government led by Gov. Faustino G. Dy III and Vice Gov. Antonio Albano held during the awarding ceremony at Isabela Sports Complex.

The other winners were Quirino (2nd place), Cauayan City (3rd place), Alicia (4th place) and Luna (5th place) receiving PHP0.750 million, PHP0.5 million, PHP0.3 million and PHP0.2 million, respectively.

The contested activities during the festival are street dance showdown and competition, best agri-ecotourism booth, best giant Bambanti, Search for Festival King and Queen, Best Festival King, Queen costume, Kusinero ng Isabela Expert sa Inabraw competition, and hip-hop dance competition.

The winners for hip-hop dance competition are Santiago City as winner, 2nd place is Cauayan City, 3rd place is Cabagan, 4th is Alicia, and Jones is 5th place.

For Kusinero ng Isabela Expert sa Inabraw competition winners are Tumauini as 1st place, San Mateo is 2nd place, Cabatuan is 3rdplace and Cauayan City as 4th place.

Best Festival Queen costume winners are Luna (1st place,), Ramon (2nd), San Mateo (3rd place), Cauayan City (4th place) and Roxas (5th place) while Best Festival King costume are Roxas (1st), Cauayan City (2nd), Luna (3rd place), Santiago City (4th place), San Manuel (5th place).

The LGU winners for Festival Queen are Roxas (1st place), Cauayan City (2nd place) and Luna (3rd place) while LGU winners for Festival King are Roxas (1st place), Cauayan City (2nd place), Luna (3rd place), Santiago City (4th place), San Manuel (5th place).

LGU winners for Giant Bambanti are Roxas (1st place), Quirino (2nd place), San Agustin (3rd place), Delfin Albano (4th place), San Mariano (5th place).

The Best agri-ecotourism booth winners are San Agustin (1st place), Quirino (2nd place), Dinapigue (3rd place), Palanan (4th place) and Jones (5th place).

Meanwhile, the winners for street dance competition are Quirino (1st place), Alicia (2nd place), Echague (3rd place), Cabatuan (4thplace), and Cauayan City (5th place) while the Best street dance showdown are Alicia (1st place), Mallig (2nd place), Luna (3rd place), Cauayan City (4th place), and Echague (5th place).
