Ronnie Dayan, daughter transferred to new safehouse in Pangasinan

LINGAYEN, Pangasinan — The police placed more security around Ronnie Dayan, former driver, body guard and confessed ex-lover of former Justice Secretary, now Senator Leila De Lima, after relocating him and his daughter to a new safe house in Pangasinan.

This is due to reports that suspicious looking men were stalking him at the first safe house where he and daughter Hanna, 23, were first brought, said Superintendent Jackie Candelario, deputy police regional director for operations of the Pangasinan police.

He said Dayan and his daughter were given additional police security because of this development.

Thus, his other relatives were not allowed to visit the father and daughter in the new safe house where they were brought on Sunday.

Anyone wanting to visit the two need clearance from Senior Supt. Ronald Oliver Lee, acting police provincial director, Candelario added.

Dayan initially testified before the justice committee of Congress last Friday on his reported receipt of drug money from drug lords and which were reportedly turned over to then Justice Secretary De Lima to form her campaign fund in her senatorial bid during the last election.

That was after his arrest by the combined Pangasinan and La Union police in San Juan, La Union after more than three months in hiding.

Candelario said even he does not know where the new safe house of the Dayans is.
