TUGUEGARAO CITY — The Police Regional Office 2 (PRO2) here is deploying police personnel in various elementary and secondary schools to secure pupils, students and teachers during the June 5 school opening.
PRO-2 information officer, Superintendent Chevalier Iringan, said today that PRO2 will met this week with the provincial directors and police station commanders in Cagayan Valley region for the planned security measures to ensure the students’ safety and prevent crimes and accidents in schools.
“The presence of police in schools will prevent criminals from sowing crimes,” Iringan said.
Iringan said at least two policemen will be deployed for each school in the region.
He said they have also partnered with village patrol personnel in maintaining peace and order. PNA-northboundasia.com
