PRO1’s Advisory Council confers Silver Eagle Awards to city police stations

FLORENDO — The Regional Advisory Council (RAC) of Police Regional Office 1 (PRO1) conferred on Monday (March 21)the Silver Eagle Award and Compliant Certificates to police provincial offices and city police stations in Region 1 that successfully passed the compliance stage of the Performance Governance System (PGS) under PNP Patrol Plan 2030.

Chief Supt. Ericson T. Velasquez, Regional Director of PRO1 together with Forester Brenda Pulido-Gandeza, RAC chairman and Director Evangeline R. Almirante, Regional Director of NAPOLCOM 1, a RAC member, awarded the Silver Eagle Award Trophy and certificate to the San Fernando City Police Station, Dagupan City Police Station and Urdaneta City Police Station.

The three city police stations successfully bag an overall rating of 92.49 percent, 91.12 percent and 90.89 percent, respectively.

Velasquez said the RAC bestowed the Silver Eagle Award to the three cities in recognition of their outstanding commitment and unwavering support in the effective implementation of PNP PATROL Plan 2030 in their respective areas of operations that immensely contributed to the attainment of a highly capable, effective and credible police service.

A silver Eagle Award is being conferred to a PNP unit with an overall rating of from 90 percent to 94.99 percent, thus the three stations qualified for the awards.

Compliant Certificates were also awarded to the police provincial offices of Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union and Pangasinan; Regional Public Safety Battalion 1 (RPSB1) and to the city police stations of Batac City, Laoag City, Vigan City, Candon City, Alaminos City and San Carlos City for passing the compliance process.

The PNP-PGS has four stages, namely initiation, compliance, proficiency and institutionalization with the end-purpose of addressing organizational dysfunctions identified by studies and improve the quality of the delivery of police services in the country.

It also aims to strengthen law enforcement capabilities and to enhance the welfare and benefits of PNP personnel.

In the compliance process, the Strategic Readiness Test, Performance Audit and Unit Revalida were conducted focusing on the alignment of the whole organization to the strategy. PNA /
