MALOLOS CITY, Bulacan — Proudly telling Bulakenyos that he has deep roots in this historic capital city, President Benigno S. Aquino III called on Tuesday Bulakenyos to rally behind Liberal Party (LP) presidential candidate Mar Roxas and running mate Leni Robledo together with their senatorial slate and provincial candidates led by reelectionists Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado and Vice Gov. Daniel Fernando in order for the “Daang Matuwid” leadership to push through with continuity.

The Chief Executive, who arrived on board the presidential chopper at the jampacked Bulacan Sports Complex here, said that he believes that the people of Bulacan will support the candidacy of the LP top bets because of their fervor for good governance and the progress now being enjoyed in the province due to the “Daang Matuwid” policy of his administration.

“Ako po ay naniniwala na susuportahan ng mga Boss kong Bulakenyo ang ating mga pambato (Roxas-Robledo) para ituloy ang tuwid na daan at lalo pa itong palawigin,“ the President told a cheering crowd.

He said that the ancestral house of the Cojuangcos is near the historic Barasoain Church as he calls on his fellow Malolenyos and the people of Bulacan to rally behind the LP candidates.

Alvarado also made a clarion call to his province mates to support the candidates being endorsed by President Aquino.

Alvarado said the country needs a good captain that can steer the nation towards unity and progress.

Roxas and Robledo, who earlier made campaign sorties in San Miguel and Plaridel, thanked the President for his strong support as well as the people of Bulacan for their warm welcome. PNA/
