DAGUPAN CITY — Several towns of eastern Pangasinan will experience a 10-hour electric interruption on March 28 due to the maintenance activities on the distribution lines of the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP).
Melma Batario, NGCP regional communications and public affairs officer, said the 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. power interruption will affect the areas being served by the substations of the Pangasinan Electric Cooperative III (Panelco III) in Barangay Barangobong, Tayug; and Umingan.
The reason for the power interruption, NGCP said, is the replacement of wood poles and correction of line defects along the Tumana-Libertad 69KV (Kilo Volt) segment.
Ms. Batario said another two-phase electric interruption is scheduled from 7:00 a.m to 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on March 28 to affect towns in central Pangasinan.
To be affected are the areas being served by Panelco III’s Urdaneta (new) and Rosales substations as well as those of the Central Pangasinan Electric Cooperative’s Bautista and Bayambang substations.
Reason for this is the isolation of Tumana-Libertad-Tayug/Umingan 69kV line segment in order to implement maintenance activities and reconnection of line after work completion.
NGCP advised the general public to take necessary preparations and precautions for the scheduled interruptions.
Ms. Batario said NGCP will exert all efforts to restore power earlier or as scheduled. PNA-northboundasia.com
