PNP urges 5 showbiz personalities linked in illegal drugs to surrender

MANILA — The Philippine National Police (PNP) has placed five show business personalities under surveillance for their link with illegal drugs trade.

According to PNP Anti-Illegal Drugs Group (AIDG) Director Senior Supt. Albert Ferro, the PNP already knew the illegal activities of these artists who were drug users and pushers.

Hence, Ferro said, the PNP is urging these celebrities to surrender in the nearest police station the soonest possible time, rather than being arrested.

Ferro noted that “there will be no sacred cows” when the arrest is made whether the suspects are popular or not.

As of Thursday, Ferro would not yet name who are the five artists they are monitoring. Perfecto Raymundo/PNA/
