PNP opens text hotline on alleged ‘ninja cops’

MANILA — The Philippine National Police (PNP) has opened a text hotline for those who will provide information about the alleged “ninja cops” who are recycling illegal drugs.

PNP Spokesman Sr. Supt. Dionardo Carlos on Monday said that an informant could call or provide information in order to process the confidential information in their cellphone no.: 09178475757 on a “24/7” basis.

At the same time, Carlos termed as a “good initiative” the offer of President Rodrigo Duterte of Php 2-million reward for anyone who would kill or provide information on ninja cops or policemen behind the recycling of illegal drugs which were seized in operations.

The PNP official assured that any information received would be treated as confidential undergo meticulous validation.

Likewise, Carlos also urged the Filipino people to support the government’s all-out war against illegal drugs so that the PNP can cleanse its ranks of scalawags and those involved in illegal drugs with finality. PNA/
