MANILA – Elements from the Philippine National Police-Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG), National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) and other law enforcement agencies have recovered PHP360 million worth of suspected shabu during operations in Las Pinas Tuesday night.
The operations took place 10:30 p.m. at B-Block, Tiongquiao St., B.F. Martinville Subdivision, Las Pinas.
The raid, which resulted in the recovery of 72 packs of suspected shabu weighing one kilogram each, was supervised by Supt. Graciano J. Mijares.
It was conducted as part of the efforts to arrrest a certain Mr. Lee who is also known by aliases of “Johnny”, “Sy”, “Jen”, “Jimmy”, “Pilay” and “Tanda” and is wanted for violating Section 11, Article 2 of Republic Act 9165, NCRPO spokesperson Chief Insp. Kimberly Molitas said.
The suspect’s search warrant was issued by the Executive Judge Reynaldo Alhambra of the Manila Regional Trial Court, she added.
Molitas said the suspect was not in the area when the raid was conducted, prompting police to conduct tracking operations against the former. Priam Nepomuceno/PNA – northboundasia.com
