ANGELES CITY — Police operatives on Tuesday seized at least PHP1.1 billion worth of liquid shabu at Don Vicente Street, Villa Dolores Subdivision in Barangay Sto. Domingo here.
According to newly-installed Central Luzon police director Chief Supt. Aaron Aquino, the liquid shabu, stored inside 47 plastic gallons, when processed could generate at least PHP1.1 billion of the finished product.
Aside from the liquid shabu, police also recovered precursors and ephedrine in powder form.
Aquino said the house is owned by Lawyer Orlando Pangilinan and rented by a certain Gin Shigi, a student from Shandong, China as stated in a recovered photocopied passport.
Found at the house of the Chinese nationals was the contract for the house rental between Pangilinan and Shigi from June 10, 2015 to July 9, 2016.
Aquino also said that the raid is considered as a major haul in Central Luzon as the shabu laboratory is regarded as a mega laboratory, not just a kitchen lab, which could produce 50 kilos shabu per cycle (3-4 days).
The liquid shabu is the fourth stage in shabu manufacturing before being placed in a freezer to crystallize.
Meanwhile, Pangilinan claimed the house was owned by actor Robin Padilla.
It was noted that the air-conditioning unit installed in the room where the containers of liquid shabu where found was still on when the raiding team breached the house. PNA/ northboundasia.com
