MANILA — Joint operatives of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and Philippine National Police (PNA) on Tuesday seized about Php 195-million worth of methamphetamine hydrochloride, or ‘shabu,’ from two Taiwanese nationals, in an anti-drug operation in Parañaque City.
In a text message sent to Philippines News Agency (PNA), Glen Malapad, officer-in-charge of Public Information Office of PDEA identifed the suspects as Tseng Shien Ming, 33, and Huang Zheng Kla, 25 both Taiwanes pe nationals.
Malapad said that around 1:30 p.m. combined elements of PDEA and PNP-AIDG SOU-3 conducted a vehicle interdiction operation along Macapagal Blvd. Brgy. Don Galo, Parañaque City that led to the arrest of two Taiwanese Nationals and the seizure of one black backpack bag and trolley bag containing 39 kilos of suspected shabu placed inside vacuum-sealed plastic bags.
The suspects, who are currently detained, are facing charges of violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. Saul Pa-a/PNA/northboundasia.com
