ZAMBOANGA CITY — The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) on Friday announced the arrest of a suspected big time drug pusher in this city.
PDEA Regional Director Lyndon Aspacio identified the arrested suspect as Esiram Hajihil, a resident of Barangay Mampang, this city.
Aspacio said Hajihil was arrested in a buy-bust operation at around 7 p.m. Thursday at Purok 2, Panama Drive, Barangay Mampang.
He said they seized from Hajihil’s possession 50 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated PhP70,000 street value, a bundle of “boodle money” consisting of one genuine PhP1,000 bill and 69 pieces of Php1,000 bills, and one envelop of a telecommunication firm used to contain the boodle money.
He said a case for violation of Section 5, Article II of Republic Act 9165 otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 is set to be filed against the suspect, who was detained. TPGJR/PNA-northboundasia.com
