BAGUIO CITY – Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Cordillera Regional Office (PDEA-CAR) Information Officer Joseph Calulut on Saturday said the taxi driver arrested in a drug buy-bust operation is a member of a drug group operating in Baguio and Benguet.
Dindo Mendoza Mislang, 39, a resident of Barangay Pinsao Proper, Baguio City was arrested on Thursday, April 7, when he sold a heat-sealed transparent sachet containing shabu weighing about five grams to PDEA-CAR operative.
Mislang was arrested in a buy-bust operation at Badihoy St, Barangay Guisad Surong, Baguio City.
Mislang is now detained at the Baguio City Jail and will be charged with “violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.”
In a separate operation, anti-narcotics agents of PDEA-CAR arrested Jaime Ceralde Torio, alias Steve, 60, married and a native of Dagupan City, Pangasinan and a resident of Military Cut-off, Baguio City.
Torio was collared on Friday, April 8 in a buy-bust operation at Malvar Street, Aurora Hill, Baguio City when he sold a heat-sealed transparent sachet containing shabu weighing more or less 5.15 grams.
The PDEA-CAR operatives recovered the buy-bust money amounting to Php 10,000 from the suspect.
Torio is temporarily detained at the PDEA-CAR detention facility pending the filing of a case for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. PNA/northboundasia.com
