CAMP BADO DANGWA, La Trinidad -– The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency – Cordillera Regional Office (PDEA-CAR) arrested Jeffrey Pamitan Damian, 32, Monday night after selling two heat-sealed sachets of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) to the drug operatives.
Damian was arrested at Kitma Road, Barangay Bakakeng Central in Baguio City.
Damian sold two heat-sealed sachets of shabu weighing 5.0843 grams worth PHP10,000.
Damian’s arrest last night was his second.
PDEA-CAR Information Officer Joseph Calulut on Tuesday, May 24 said Damian was first arrested for the same offense on February 15, 2013 but was acquitted on August 17, 2015 due to inconsistencies of the eyewitness’ testimonies.
Quoting PDEA-CAR Director Juvenal Azurin, Calulut said PDEA-CAR will continue with its sting operations to suppress the illegal drugs trade in the region.
Damian’s arrest is the 11th since January 2016.
