PDEA Agent, 4 Others Killed In La Union Road Accidents

CAMP DIEGO SILANG, La Union – A 39-year-old anti-narcotics agent of the regional office of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and a companion were killed while another passenger was injured when the car they were riding collided with a trailer truck at about 12:50 a.m. in Baccuit, Bauang town last Saturday.
 
Chief Inspector Silverio Ordinado, Jr., La Union police information officer, identified the fatalities as Mark Anthony C. Xcevea,  PDEA agent, a resident of Barangay Sta. Lucia, Aringay town, and his passenger Ricardo V. Gallardo, 39, of Barangay. Poblacion Sur, also in Aringay. Their other companion, who was not identified, is still under observation at the Ilocos Training Medical Center in San Fernando City.
Ordinado identified the delivery trailer truck driver as Raul M. Dinangan, 57, a resident of Purok 3, Baguio City. Dinangan will face court charges, according to Ordinado

According to initial investigation, both vehicles were traversing in south direction when the Toyota Altis driven by the PDEA agent was bumped from behind by the trailer truck. The car was totally wrecked.
 
Meanwhile in Rosario town, three persons were killed in a road mishap involving a tricycle, van, and multicab truck along Maharlika Highway, Barangay Bani, this town at about 5:30 p.m. last November 3.
Chief Inspector Bernabe Orobillo, the town police chief, said he was was preparing court charges for reckless imprudence resulting to multiple homicide, physical injuries and damage to properties against Jerwin Supnet, multicab driver of Narvacan Ilocos Sur. Supnet is still being treated for injuries at the ITMC.
 
The fatalities were identified as Bernardo Abaco, Jr. tricycle driver, including his two kids, while his wife is still under observation at at the same medical center due to severe injuries, along with the other van passengers. Northbound Philippines News
