PDEA-3 NETS SON OF INCUMBENT OFFICIALS IN BULACAN

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-3 (PDEA-3) arrested Sunday in a buy-bust operation the son of the incumbent public officials in Pandi, Bulacan.

PDEA-3 director Gladys Rosales identified the suspect as Christopher Bryan Sebastian 34, and a resident of Bagong Barrio Pandi, Bulacan.

Rosales said that Sebastian is the son of the incumbent barangay captain and city councilor of Pandi, which reportedly made him untouchable in the locality.

The PDEA official said that the suspect tried to elude arrest and even used a dump truck as a getaway vehicle.

”A gunfight then ensued between the suspect and the authorities,” she said.

Sebastian sustained a gunshot wound.

Rosales said the operation netted seven plastic sachet containing shabu weighing 57 grams with an estimated street value of PHP250,000 and recovered the marked money. PNA/www.northboundasia.com
