LAOAG CITY —- Some personnel of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) are stationed at the Ilocos Norte Provincial Capitol starting today to recruit more employees this year.
For interested applicants, registration forms are just waiting to be filled out at the ground floor of the PCG desk, Provincial Capitol on May 8-22 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
According to the PCG, a total of 4000 jobs including 500 officers will be filled up. Other vacant positions include: biologists, support staff like doctors, engineers, mechanic, accountants, and public relation staff.
Applicants must be 18 years old but not more than 28 years old, natural-born Filipino citizens with good moral character, single, at least 5’0″ in height, college graduate or has earned at least 72 units in one course as seen in the Transcript of Records or high school graduates provided they completed a TESDA (Technical Education and Skills Development Authority) course relevant to PCG mandates, physically and mentally fit for training are most welcome to apply.
For Ilocos residents, the PCG also announced that an Aptitude Battery Examination for applicants has been scheduled at the Ilocos Norte National High School on May 24, 6 a.m.
Salary of entry-level employees start at Php17,000 to Php40,000 per month depending on the position applied for.
The PCG is an armed and uniformed service of the government tasked primarily to enforce laws within Philippine waters, conduct maritime security operations, safeguard life and property at sea, and protect the country’s marine environment and resources.
