MANILA — The FIBA Asia Cup period is still a series of game days for the PBA as the league announced the rest of the schedule for the Governors’ Cup eliminations.
The league will have games on Aug. 13, 18, and 20, which will coincide with Gilas’ stint in the said continental competition.
Kia battles Rain Or Shine while NLEX and Meralco slug it out on Aug. 13 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay, while two consecutive twinbills will take place at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City on Aug. 18 and 20.
However, the PBA will not hold games on Aug. 9, 11, 12, 16, and 19.
Meanwhile, the cities of Lapu-Lapu, Angeles, and Sta. Rosa along with the town of Calasiao will host Saturday night actions.
Calasiao will be first in line as the Road Warriors and Barangay Ginebra San Miguel will battle there on Aug. 5.
Ginebra will once again be on the road on Aug. 26, this time against Alaska at the Hoops Dome in Lapu-Lapu.
The Aces will be out of town anew the following week, battling the Beermen at the AUF Gym in Angeles.
The last non-Mega Manila game of the conference will have Star facing Meralco at the Sta. Rosa Multi-Purpose Arena on Sept. 9.
The Barangay are to face the Picanto in a rare time that they play in the first game, while the Beermen and the KaTropa collide in a rematch of the Commissioner’s Cup Finals later Wednesday also at “The Big Dome”. Ivan Saldajeno/PNA-northboundasia.com
