Pangilinan, Recto and Vilma Santos take oath of office before CJ Sereno

MANILA — Senator-elect Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan and Lipa City Representative-elect Vilma Santos took their oath of office Monday before Chief Justice Maria Lourdes P. Aranal Sereno.

During the oath-taking rites, Pangilinan was accompanied by his wife, megastar Sharon Cuneta, daughter KC, and their other children, namely, Frankie, Miel and Miguel.

The ceremonies before the Chief Justice only took about 15 minutes from 2:25-2:40 p.m. Monday.

Pangilinan garnered more than 15 million votes in the May 9, 2016 national elections.

He ranked no. 8 in the 12 winning senators.

Santos, former Batangas governor and now Lipa City (Lone District) Representative, was accompanied by her husband, Senator-elect Ralph Recto, who also took his oath, together with their son, Ryan Christian.

Recto is a re-electionist senator and placed no. 11 in the 12 winning senators after garnering more than 14 million votes in the May 9 elections. PNA /
