SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union — A policeman from Urdaneta City, Pangasinan was conferred the “Medalya ng Papuri” (Commendation Medal) in recognition of his admirable deed of returning a bag containing documents and bank checks amounting to Php200,000 to its owner.
Chief Supt. Reynaldo Biay, deputy regional director for administration of the Police Regional Office 1, conferred the award on Senior Police Officer 1 Noli Lee Teope, a member of the Urdaneta City Police Station in Pangasinan, on Monday.
The awarding ceremony was held at the PRO1 Grandstand at Camp Oscar Florendo in San Fernando City.
Teope recovered the bag sometime in August while patrolling Poblacion, Urdaneta City.
The owner of the bag, Mrs. Elena Paasa, thanked SPO1 Teope for returning her bag containing valuables. PNA-northboundasia.com
