PAGASA: Monsoon rains may trigger flashfloods over different parts of PHL

MANILA — The state weather bureau said monsoon rains, enhanced by a low pressure area, may trigger flashfloods and landslides over different parts of the country.

In its advisory, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said monsoon rains may be experienced over Zambales, Bataan, Pangasinan, Mindoro, Palawan, Cavite and Batangas on Saturday.

Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon and western Visayas may expect cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms.

The rest of the country may experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms, PAGASA added.

Meanwhile, moderate to strong winds will blow from southwest over the entire archipelago.

The country’s coastal waters will be moderate to rough, PAGASA said. PNA/northboundasia.com
