MANILA — A low pressure area (LPA) was spotted 70 kilometers south of Subic, Olongapo, state weather bureau Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Wednesday.
In an advisory issued at 5 a.m., PAGASA said cloudy skies with light rains is expected over Batanes and Calayan Islands as northeast monsoon is affecting northern Luzon.
Cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms will prevail over Metro Manila, Visayas and the rest of Luzon.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms will prevail over Mindanao.
Meanwhile, moderate to strong winds will blow from east to northeast over Luzon, and its coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
Light to moderate winds coming from west to northwest will prevail over Visayas and Mindanao with slight to moderate seas, PAGASA added. PNA-northboundasia.com
