PAF MAN SHOT DEAD IN SULU ATTACK

MANILA — A Philippine Air Force (PAF) enlisted trooper was shot and killed by still unidentified gunmen in Jolo town, Sulu Friday afternoon.

Joint Task Group Sulu commander Brig. Gen. Alan Arrojado identified the victim as A1C Andrew Burias, 27, assigned at the 15th Strike Wing which is based in Sangley Point, Cavite and a resident of Scott Road, Barangay San Raymundo, Jolo.

The latter was on vacation leave when he was gunned down at 5 p.m. by still unidentified suspects at the back of Jolo Cchurch.

Responding police and military units rushed him to the Sulu Provincial Hospital where he was pronounced “dead on arrival” by attending doctors.

Investigators are still determining the motive for the fatal attack. PNA / northboundasia.com
