CAMP MACABULOS, Tarlac City — In line with the intensified campaign against illegal drugs and loose firearms, a gang leader who is tagged as a notorious drug trafficker and four others were arrested on Thursday at Sitio Suba, Barangay Matatalaib, this city.
Senior Supt. Alex Sintin, Tarlac police provincial director, identified the suspects as Roy Magbag, 44, gang leader and top no. 6 drug trafficker in the city; Rodelyn Magbag, 25; Rhoyvin Magbag, 21; Jennelyn de Lara, 42, all of Barangay Matatalaib and Dante Ramos, 31, of Barangay San Isidro, this city.
The operation was conducted by joint elements of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, that acted as lead agency, headed by Chief Inspector Angelo Nicolas, Tarlac City police station led by Supt. Bayani Razalan, Provincial Intelligence Branch led by Supt, Miguel Guzman, Provincial Anti-Illegal Drug Special Operation Task Group led by Chief Inspector Milo Abriam, the Provincial Public Safety Company led by Supt. Sammuel Munoz, the National Bureau of Investigation and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.
Seized during the operation were a 3-gun caliber pistol, 12 ammunition for cal .38, one ammunition for cal. 45, and 15 sachets of suspected “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride) amounting to Php36,000 and various drug paraphernalia.
The operation was a successful result of the simultaneous implementation of three search warrants all issued by Judge Ramon D. Pamular of RTC Branch 32, Guimba, Nueva Ecija dated February 10, 2016.
The arrested suspects are now detained at the CIDG detention cell facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002 and illegal possession of firearms and ammunition. PNA/northboundasia.com
