BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya — The provincial government here has recognized the significant contributions of its outgoing board members to the province.
In their recent session, members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan devoted their time in offering a tribute, recognition and award for their colleagues namely Efren Quiben, Filma Dulay-Perez, Santiago Dickson, Dolores Binwag, Merlie Talingdan and lawyer Primo Percival Marcos.
Dickson who opted to retire spent 28 years in politics while Binwag, former president of the Provincial Councilors’ League(PCL) of Nueva Vizcaya, will serve as mayor of Quezon town.
Talingdan and Marcos will return to their former status as housewife and private lawyer, respectively.
“They will always be a part of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan. Whatever their political affiliation is, we are one. There is no majority or minority here, we work together as one. And that is showing love for our work as legislators, because we are here not to work for ourselves but to work for what we can give to the people,” vice Governor Lambert Galima, Jr. said.
