BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya — Eighteen persons in eight towns in the province were arrested Sunday during the simultaneous anti-illegal drugs operations under the police Lambat Sibat “One Time Big Time.”
Police Senior Supt. Leumar Abugan, Philippine National Police (PNP) provincial chief, said the arrested drug personalities were listed in the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency’s (PDEA) Order of Battle and local PNP lists in the towns of Bayombong, Bagabag, Bambang, Dupax del Norte, Dupax del Sur, Villaverde, Solano and Sta. Fe.
“Most of the arrested persons were categorized as pushers and users of shabu based on the PNP-PDEA lists on municipal and provincial categories,” Abugan said.
Confiscated from the arrested 14 males and 4 females were 98 pieces of heat-sealed plastic sachets of shabu, a piece of marijuana and illegal drug paraphernalia.
He said the suspects are now facing violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, particularly on selling, maintenance of drug den, visitor of drug den and possession of dangerous drugs.
