No respite in police operations vs illegal drugs in Pangasinan despite “Undas” season

LINGAYEN, Pangasinan — There is no respite in the operations against illegal drugs in Pangasinan even during the “Undas” season as gleaned from reports of the Pangasinan Police Provincial Office (PPPO) on Nov. 1.

The report showed that two drug personalities on the watchlist were arrested by the police in buy-bust operations in Binmaley and San Carlos City on Oct. 31, and another was arrested in a separate operation in Alaminos City on Nov. 1.

Arrested at about 11:30 a.m. of Oct. 31 in Brgy Sta Rosa Binmaley was one Leony Dalioan, alias “Onar”, 33, of Barangay Calit, Binmaley, identified as baseline drug watchlist personality of the town.

He sold one sachet of suspected shabu to a police poseur-buyer and when he received the buy-bust money of Php 300, he was placed under arrest.

Arrested in San Carlos City at around 8:30 p.m. of Oct. 31 by elements of the San Carlos City police in another buy-bust operation in Sitio Estanquero, Barangay Bolingit San Carlos City was Garry Palaganas, 42, listed as newly identified drug personality.

The suspect was placed under arrest shortly after he was caught in the act of selling one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance of suspected “shabu” in exchange for Php 500 cash paid by a poseur buyer.

When frisked, three more sachets of suspected shabu were found in his possession.

Meanwhile, arrested in another buy-bust operation at Sitio Dampay in Barangay Poblacion in Alaminos City at 1:50 a.m. of Nov. 1 was Rizal Reyes, alias Felix”, 22.

Seized from him were three heat-sealed transparent plastics sachets containing white crystalline granules believed to be “shabu”, one Honda TMX 125 tricycle with no plate number, one Php500.00 bill which was used as marked money, one cellular phone and others.

All three suspects will be charged with a case for violation of Sec. 5, and Sec. 11 of Article 2 of Republic Act 9165 as amended by R.A. 10640.
