No classes in all levels in Pangasinan on Oct. 17

LINGAYEN, Pangasinan — Gov. Amado I. Espino III has suspended classes in all school levels in Pangasinan, both public and private, on Monday, Oct. 17.

He made the move few hours after typhoon “Karen” was about to exit in Pangasinan. At one time during the typhoon, Pangasinan was among the areas placed under Tropical Cyclone Warnng Signal No. 3.

In his executive order declaring the suspension of classes, Espino stressed that while Pangasinan is still experiencing bad weather, another weather disturbance is expected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Monday.

Expected to enter PAR in the afternoon of Oct. 17 is typhoon “Haima” (international name) which will be renamed “Lawin.”
