DAGUPAN CITY — The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) has announced electrical interruptions in parts of Pangasinan on September 29 due to its various upgrading activities.
The electric interruption from 6:00 a.m. to 12 noon is set to affect the distribution utilities of the Central Pangasinan Electric Cooperative (Cenpelco) at its Mangaldan and Guilig substations and the areas being serviced by the San Jacinto substation of the Dagupan Electric Corporation (Decorp).
There will also electric interruption from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on the same day affecting areas being served by the Binalonan (Old & New) and Urdaneta (old) Substations of the Pangasinan Electric Cooperative 3, and areas being served by the Bautista and Bayambang substations of Cenpelco; as well as areas being served by the Urdaneta (New), Rosales, Carmen, Barangobong, Tayug and Umingan substations of Panelco 3.
Melba Batario regional corporate/communications public affairs officer said the upgrading activities are in preparation for the energization of new power transformer at Nagsaag substation, simultaneous with maintenance of transmission lines serving the electric cooperatives.
Normal operations will immediately resume after work completion.
NGCP customers and the general public are advised to take the necessary preparations and precautions for the scheduled interruption.
Batario clarified that specific areas that may be affected by the power interruption are determined by the mentioned distribution utilities, unless the activity will have an effect on the entire franchise area. PNA/northboundasia.com
