NGCP scheduled 12-hour power interruption on Sunday

TUGUEGARAO CITY — The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines’ (NGCP) scheduled a 12-hour power interruption, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., on Sunday (April 17) by Cabagan substation service areas.

Lilibeth P. Gaydowen, NGCP North Luzon Corporate Communications and Public Affairs Officer, said the NGCP will conduct upgrading activities of its facilities to affect the provinces of Cagayan, Apayao, and parts of Northern Isabela on Sunday.

“The NGCP will conduct energization and commissioning activities of additional MVA power transformer and its associated equipment at Tuguegarao substation,” Gaydowen said.

She said the scheduled power interruption will affect some parts of Isabela Electric Cooperative (ISELCO)–II, the entire franchise area of Kalinga electric Cooperative (KAELCO) and the entire Cagayan Electric Cooperative (CAGELCO)–I and II.

NGCP said normal operations will immediately resume after work completion of the NGCP as she advised the customers to take the necessary preparations for the scheduled power interruption. PNA/northboundasia.com
