NGCP SCHEDULED 12-HOUR POWER INTERRUPTION IN CAGAYAN

TUGUEGARAO CITY — The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) has scheduled a 12-hour power interruption or from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday (February 4) for the entire Cagayan Electric Cooperative I (CAGELCO-1) and (CAGELCO II).

Lilibeth Gaydowen, Northern Luzon corporate communications and public affairs, said the power interruption will affect the distribution utilities of the entire CAGELCO II and CAGELCO I–Alcala substation NGCP’s Tuguegarao 15MVA.

Gaydowen said the NGCP will be conducting an annual preventive maintenance and testing (APMT) of 50MVA transformer, simultaneous with preventive and corrective maintenance of transmission lines serving these electric cooperatives

NGCP said normal operations will immediately resume after work completion. NGCP customers and the general public are advised to take the necessary preparations and precautions for this scheduled power interruption. PNA / northboundasia.com
