TUGUEGARAO CITY — The National Food Authority (NFA) has assured the public that there is enough supply of rice despite the damage wrought by typhoon “Lawin” in the city last week.
Emmanuel Villanueva, provincial director, said they still have enough bags of rice in their warehouse which will last for 130 days.
He also said that they are expecting an additional 20,000 bags of imported rice to arrive this month.
He said NFA accredited rice outlets are selling regular rice for PHP27 per kilo and PHP32 per kilo for NFA well-milled rice.
He added the public can visit their accredited rice outlets in all public markets in the city and avail of cheaper rice from NFA. PNA-northboundasia.com
