CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela — Two babies who were born, few minutes before New Year were greeted with cheers by relatives, hospital workers and guests at the provincial government-operated Governor Faustino Dy Sr. Memorial Hospital in Ilagan City.
Baby boy Zaijan Valdez, about six pounds in weight, was born at 11:54, just six minutes before the start of New Year.
Her 34-year-old mother, Marites, went on a normal delivery. He is the third child of the Valdez couple from Tangcul, Ilagan City.
Zaijan’s 31-year-old father, Rizal, said they were ecstatic that the boy has been healthy and was born on a lucky day, just minutes before New Year.
For baby boy Raffy Bulusan Jr., he was born an hour prior to the New Year, by his 23-year-old mother Lina by normal delivery.
