MANILA — Former President and now Manila Mayor Joseph “Erap” Ejercito Estrada is still undecided on who to endorse for President.
However, Estrada said that he will have his candidate before end of March.
“I have not decided yet. We have to really study [because] this involves the future of the 100 million Filipinos,” he told reporters at the sidelights of the 21st annual convention of the Philippine Women Judges Association (PWJA).
Estrada said that the recent Supreme Court (SC) decision reversing the disqualification of Senator Grace Poe will be one of the factors he will consider.
“Of course of course. It’s better. The people will be given the chance to choose. More candidates, the better for the people,” Estrada said.
However, Estrada noted that personal ties is not a factor.
Estrada is close to both Poe and Vice President Jejomar “Jojo” Binay.
He said it should be “the interest of the people before anything else.”
When asked if he will join the campaign of his preferred candidates, he said that “you know, I will charge them money for my personal appearance. Mahal ako (I am expensive).” Perfecto Raymundo/PNA/northboundasia.com
