Marawi City without power due to felled tree

MANILA — The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) confirms that one tower along the tie line (owned by National Power Corporation (NPC) but operated by NGCP) between Agus 1 and 2 was toppled because of a felled tree.

Marawi City is currently without power because of the grid disturbance.

NGCP is currently exploring options on how to resume service to Marawi.

Reports reveal heavy gunfire in the area so line patrol is not an option at the moment. (DOE Advisory)
