MANILA — A magnitude 3.4 quake jolted the province of Negros Oriental on Wednesday morning, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs)
Phivolcs said the tremor occurred at around 9:20 a.m. with its epicenter traced at 18 kilometers southwest of Luzurriaga town in Negros Oriental, where it was also felt at Intensity 4.
Intensity 3 was felt in Dumaguete City while Intensity 2 in Sibulan, all in Negros Oriental.
The quake, which is tectonic in origin, had a depth of 19 kilometers.
Phivolcs said there was no casualty or damage reported from the temblor and no aftershocks were expected from it. Christopher Lloyd T. Caliwan/ PNA
