MANILA — The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) is set to conduct a second hearing on Nov 10 regarding the alleged taxi driver involved in ‘Laglag Bala’ or bullet-planting late last month.
So far, LTFRB has already requested for the closed circuit television (CCTV) footages of the incident took place last Oct 29.
LTFRB has also issued an order for a subpoena ordering the person who reported the alleged incident, a certain Julius Habana, to appear before the Board public hearing.
To recall, during its first hearing, the Board summoned the taxi driver named Ricky Milagrosa who allegedly slipped something inside the bag of a passenger (name not mentioned), according to a Facebook post by Habana who was the passenger’s friend.
“The Board requested CCTV footage along Remedios Street, Malate, Manila, from the Barangay covering the area where Milagrosa claimed that the passenger ask him to be taken supposedly to fetch a friend who is also going to NAIA,” LTFRB said.
Habana claimed that Milagrosa, driver of a taxi with plate no. UVK 190 slipped a .38 caliber bullet inside the bag of his friend while on the way to the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) to catch an international flight.
Milagrosa, however, denied allegations that he planted the bullet found in his passenger’s bag. PNA
