ROXAS CITY, Capiz — Around 10,000 Capizeños trooped to the Capiz gymnasium to show support as the Liberal Party jumpstarted its nationwide campaign in this hometown of its standard bearer, former Interior and Local Government secretary Mar Roxas on Tuesday.
The political rally held inside the jam-packed gymnasium was joined by vice presidential bet, Camarines Rep. Leonor G. Robredo and the 12 senatorial candidates.
They were endorsed by no less than President Benigno S. Aquino III who expressed that LP bets are expecting to take the bulk of votes of the Capizeños in the May 9 elections.
Meanwhile, Roxas committee to continue the “Daang Matuwid” programs to sustain the gains of the country that the Aquino administration has started.
He said that he would focus on improving the implementation of housing projects, Bottom up Budgeting, disaster response and better system on peace and order.
Roxas assured to work on maintaining peace and order in every area of the country.
He also said that he will work on providing more opportunities to the farmers by extending financial support and the facilities that they need.
Further, he assured to provide a government that is accessible and responsible to the needs of the people in times of disasters.
