SAN FERNANDO CITY–A mini Christmas village will be put up here complete with the usual Yuletide trimmings and features including “baratilyos” and exciting rides for children.
This will be the third season of “Paskua ti Probinsia ti La Union ” sponsored by the provincial government and will kick-off at the Mabanag Hall Parking Lot on December 14 and running until December 30.
The event will cater a series of various activities that will showcase the talents, production, crafts and trades of the people during the Christmas season.
A Grand Lantern Parade starting from the provincial capitol grounds and ending at the Christmas Village on December 14 will usher in the holiday season.
There will be chorale competitions among high school students on December 15 and 16, respectively, for the First District and Second District Municipalities of the province. The Grand Championship finals will take place on December 21.
On December 17, a local version of the “The Voice Kids” will be held, wherein kids aged 5-12 will compete. For rock band enthusiasts, there will be a “Battle of the Bands” on December 27.
Booths will be provided for various local entrepreneurs, where they will sell their products and souvenir items. For children and other holiday makers, there will be amusement rides and attractions for them to enjoy the spirit of love and joy of the season in the Christmas village. Dunkin Lee H.
