SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union – An overseas Filipino worker (OFW) and a 60-year-old man and his live-in partner were arrested for illegal drugs in separate police operations in San Fernando City and in Bauang town last Wednesday.
Chief Inspector Silverio Ordinado, Jr., La Union police information officer, identified the OFW as Jefferson Caccam, 36, of Barangay Paringao, Bauang, while the live-in suspects were Hipolito Mones, 60, and Gina Vencer, 47, both residents of Barangay Pagdalagan Norte here.
The search and arrest warrants were issued by Judge Imelda P. Cosalan of the Municipal Trial Court.
Seized from Caccam were two heat-sealed sachets of the banned amphethamine hydrocloride or shabu. while the couple yielded five sachets of the same contraband including two sachets of marijuana. Found in their possession–Caccam and the couple–were several drug paraphernalia.
